Essential training

Image
On Friday, Panthers class were taught by Mrs Sales as I was at a computer conference. I was really pleased to hear that they had been learning an essential life skill. How to save someone's life. The children were taught how to assess a dangerous situation for their own safety and how to resuscitate someone using Annie dolls. They learnt about choking, bleeding, unconscious casualty and CPR. The children had a great time and learnt something valuable using the Heartstart UK scheme. Well done. Year six also got to decorate a cake for the Royal Wedding.

This week has been a very busy week for Panthers class. Year 5 have been improving theit narrative skills and working hard in maths and year 6 have been practising for SATS. So as a reward, they had a forest schools session with myself and Miss Cushion. They thoroughly enjoyed being outside and spent their time den building, bow making and bug hunting.

The Big Sing 2018

This week, Catfield Primary were lucky enough to be involved in The Big Sing 2018. 9,000 children were packed into The Norfolk Showground to sing 10 rehearsed songs with a live band. They also got to watch Alexandra Burke and Kirsten Joy. Some of our children were also picked out to be interviewed by the BBC. Behaviour was excellent as was the children's desire to leave no rubbish and tidy up after themselves. What a great day! Below are some photos for you to enjoy.
