What a performance!!

Image
This year our school put on a fabulous performance of Wizard of OZ. The children worked so hard to learn all the songs, dance moves and lines. Dorothy had 108!! The night performance was even more energised as people were looking forward to the semi-finals of the World cup where sadly, England lost. Anyway, I digress, back to the play. The children made all the props and backdrops and I was so happy to see the year 6's give a fantastic performance over both days. I hope that these memories stay with them for a long while to come. Busy last few weeks

The last few weeks are always a busy time of the year and this year has been no exception. The children have been busy practising for their end of year production- The Wizard of OZ. The children have put huge effort into learning their lines and all the songs they have to sing. Along with this they have had the joy of watching England get through to the semi-finals of the World Cup. When they put on their evening performance on Wednesday, it will certainly be an exciting night. Mr Hall

Mr Men and Swallowtail Federation sports day

Over the past three weeks, the children have been reading writing and creating their own Mr Men books. They enjoyed the language that was used in the books and have created their own characters. They then read them to our year 1/2s who really enjoyed hearing their stories. Well done Panthers, I hope these books will be in your collections for years to come. We also took part in our annual federation sports day where the children got to try out different sports. They learned how to fire a bow and arrow in archery, completing a dance routine, circus skills and the joy of climbing trees. They also learnt about how important healthy eating is to give them energy. Mr Hall
