Busy last few weeks

The last few weeks are always a busy time of the year and this year has been no exception. The children have been busy practising for their end of year production- The Wizard of OZ. The children have put huge effort into learning their lines and all the songs they have to sing.

Along with this they have had the joy of watching England get through to the semi-finals of the World Cup. When they put on their evening performance on Wednesday, it will certainly be an exciting night.

First week back

I hope you had a restful Easter break. The first week back was enjoyable and the children worked hard on improving their maths and grammar skills. I was very impressed with everyone this week. Essential training

On Friday, Panthers class were taught by Mrs Sales as I was at a computer conference. I was really pleased to hear that they had been learning an essential life skill. How to save someone's life. The children were taught how to assess a dangerous situation for their own safety and how to resuscitate someone using Annie dolls. They learnt about choking, bleeding, unconscious casualty and CPR. The children had a great time and learnt something valuable using the Heartstart UK scheme. Well done. Year six also got to decorate a cake for the Royal Wedding.
